JOB SUMMARY
Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform inspections on components.
Perform source inspections at facilities.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
Review inspection records received for compliance.
Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for nonconforming parts.
Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Visually inspect the integrity of various welds and ensure that the item meets conformity.
Comply with all departmental rules.
Interpret quality standards to ensure product compliance.
Maintain measurement and test equipment as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Previous receiving inspection experience.
Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Section IX.
Have obtained AWS Certified Welding Inspection Certificate or the ability to obtain in house certification.
Working knowledge of AWS symbols.
Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Must be able to obtain TWIC card as required.
Willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn different software programs.
Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drilling equipment is a plus.
