In order to reinforce the Electrical Engineering team in Basel we are currently recruiting for an

Electrical Engineer

Integrated within the Engineering department (PART 21J), the Electrical Engineer develops certifiable technical solutions through the performance of drawings, documents, reports, and testing.

Description/Tasks:

The Electrical Design Engineer supports the Team Leads to develop standards for the following cabin related systems:
- Inflight Entertainment System and Cabin Management
- Communication and Computer Network
- Satellite Communication and High Speed Data
- Power Distribution, Supply and Generation
- Air-Conditioning, Heating, Humidification, Fire Protection
- Galley, Seats, Interior Doors, Water/Waste - Cabin- and Emergency-Lighting

• Works independently on System Design and appropriated Documentation for cabin "Completion" and "Modification" projects
• Selection of Equipment, Components and Material in order to fulfill RTCA DO-160 (Hardware) and DO-178 (Software) requirements
• Development of Electrical Wiring Diagrams (CAD)
• Attention to recognized safety and certification requirements
• Support of production environment (PART 21G and PART 145) as required

Qualification/Experience:

• Electronic/Electrical Engineering degree (preferably Aviation) or equivalent technical degree with 1-2 years of experience in the field of Engineering
• Knowledge of the Aviation Regulations (EASA and/or FAA) would be advantageous
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), German or French would be beneficial
• Interpersonal Skills & Negotiation ability, good Communication & Team spirit
• Proactive, forward thinking, object oriented, and self-motivated team player is required
• Reliability, Analytical-, Creative-, Quality- & Safety- thinking
• Flexibility for working on call-duty
