The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources (HR) Merger and Acquisition (M&A) Specialist to join their team.

The HR Specialist will partner with HR functions, Corporate Development, Labor Relations, Law, Finance, business leaders and external consultants to provide strategic alignment, guidance and manage the overall HR end to end life cycle for M&A transactions.  This role will also provide support for the Total Rewards team during the collective bargaining process.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Chicago, IL. The hiring team prefers candidates be located in one of the following but is not required: Chicago, IL; Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, M; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; North Charleston, SC; Mesa, AZ; Seal Beach, CA or Arlington, VA. Travel may be required as needed.


Position Responsibilities:

Partner on M&A transactions on behalf of the HR business partner, and manage due diligence reviews, document requests for data rooms, define and support negotiations strategy and strategic integration planning for all HR functions

Support business operating model decisions with HR planning and alignment of HR resources

Define detailed integration plans and managing to those plans

Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and buy-in from leadership as well as accountability for achieving these key metrics

Develop collaborative partnerships throughout HR and with Finance, Law, IT, Communications and Corporate development and business line leaders across the enterprise to ensure the process effectiveness

Actively seek out and incorporate external practices as appropriate, with a special focus on current and emerging peer companies; continuously refresh and apply external viewpoint to ensure plans, programs, and communications remain suited to driving business outcomes

Actively cultivate external relationships and peer company relationships

Develop and continuously improve processes to engage diverse audiences

Assist stakeholder teams with best practices for executing M&A and collective bargaining

Provide support for various collective bargaining activities including union negotiations and ongoing contract support with the Total Rewards and Labor Relations team

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) transactions or integration

5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding

5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree or higher

3+ years of experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce

3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

Typical Education & Experience:
Typically 15 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience.  Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
