Job Description

The IT Specialist Senior will install, test, and repair telecommunication and information technology hardware, software, and circuits to include, Desktop workstations, telephones, LAN switches and routers. The IT Specialist Senior. will review and recommend improvements to operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. The IT Specialist Senior will analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment, cabling and circuit failures. The IT Specialist Senior may assist problem management network engineers perform root cause analysis of chronic or persistent incidents, and recommend / implement corrective solutions. The IT Specialist Senior will interact with users resolving problems; Applicant could be asked to provide basic application training and is required to maintain awareness of state-of-the-art office automation technology.

Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills:

•High School diploma or equivalent
•Experience in Information Technology related field installing and maintaining desktop equipment (desktops, servers and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware)
•Must have current Security+ and become 8570 IAT Level II certified within 6 months of start date if not already certified
•Active and in-scope TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI poly US security clearance

Education Required (including major):

High School diploma or equivalent with 8 years of experience
