Cybersecurity Technical Product Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Technical Product Manager to work within the Cybersecurity Engineering team dedicated to the task of engineering the best Cyber security solution in the world.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience implementing cross-organizational IT solutions, a strong project management background with good written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional organizational skills. The position will be based in Foster City, CA or Ashburn, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

Command a solid understanding of Cybersecurity, particularly in the areas of security information event management (SIEM), web application firewalls (WAF), and/or database activity monitoring (DAM) to drive requirements and strategy for cybersecurity data collection, analysis, and operationalization within Visa.
Provide program and project management support, becoming adept at Visa Project Management Methodology, processes and tools
Manage progress throughout the product development process and work with program managers to deliver against plan and targets
Ensure clear communications and coordination across business and development teams.
Collaborate with product owners, end users, and other stake holders to gather product requirements.
Identify and document business cases, requirements and manage the entire solution planning cycle
Link technical capabilities to strategic vision and business needs
Define success metrics and SLAs
Define and manage product roadmap
Manage business and conflicting priorities with the ability to maintain stakeholder commitments
Work closely with analysts and engineers to facilitate and guide the product lifecycle.
Perform user acceptance testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as required.
Identify, define, and oversee implementation of process improvement
Ensure business as usual processes are documented and updated on a regular basis
Provide detailed status reports to senior management and cybersecurity community

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree (Concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline )or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
7+  years of project management experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, background in SIEM, WAF and/or DAM is a plus
Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation and accountability
Past experience on complex, global projects and / or Infrastructure projects a big plus
Agile delivery experience is a major plus. Experience with Confluence/Jira
Good understanding of Data security, Data Quality, Business Activity Monitoring and
Solid understanding on enterprise compliance and controls, e.g., logging and access management practices.
Fast learner and Strategic thinker who can balance big picture strategy with detailed, flawless execution
Strong customer centric mindset and Proactive sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude
Financial services and card payments experience is a plus
Nice to have: CISM, PMP, CISSP, ITIL

Additional Information

Work Authorization

Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.  Some meetings with our global teams in Asia may require incumbent to be available later than normal business hours. 

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 5% of the time

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
