Colorado Plains Medical Center
Under the general supervision and/or direction of a registered nurse, performs selected patient care activities. The CNA is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient's therapeutic treatment plan. Primary responsibilities include observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the staff RN.
Job Requirements
Requires: Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant program; possession of a valid, active Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant license as approved by the Colorado State Board of Nurse Examiners; and current BLS certification. Prefer one year nursing assistant experience in a hospital setting. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies, and working as a member of a clinical team. Require: Excellent customer service skills. Excellent critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work well with the unit team. Knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, peers, medical staff, and the public.. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information. Ability to multi-task. Ability to prioritize. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to identify problems, problem solve and recommend solutions. Ability to effective communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic computer skills. Ability to prepare and maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence in a professional manner. Ability to develop and maintain a department quality assurance. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to engage in conflict resolution with professionalism, accepting and incorporating constructive feedback from peers and supervisors. Expected Salary Range 14.25 plus call and call back pay. PRN positions are utilized as needed, do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. LIB accrual. Company provided Employee Assistance Program. All positions require completion of post-offer drug screen and background check (includes; employment, criminal and education) is required
