Job Summary: 

The Manager – Regional Operations is responsible for directing P&L responsibility and leading the department to accomplish company targets and goals for new and existing accounts. They will be responsible for the hiring and training of new managers and staff for the Regional Fleet.  The Manager – Regional Operations will be responsible for sourcing capacity for the fleet as well as the supervision of daily driver activites and assigned equipment as well as working directly with the customer.  This includes Managing a team that is sourcing freight, dispatching freight, load building, customer service, counseling drivers on safety and policy issues, payroll and billing, safety management, and other related activities. Service reporting and Customer Service directly with the customer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Direct management of a staff of 10+ Operations personnel and 50-100 drivers in team operations to lead the department to accomplish company targets and goals
Travel up to 25%
Oversee training of new managers and drivers, onbording of new Customer Accounts
Direct P&L responsibility
Ensure budget and cost management
Build and develop a strong staff
Define, document and hold personel acountable to acccount specific SOP's
Oversee the management and retention of 50-100 Dedicated drivers to include good driver morale, high level of service to customers, safety, and efficient and profitable utilization of equipment
Oversee and and ensure compliance in scheduling of all maintenance and repairs of all company owned equipment. 
Ensure on-time service to customer
Maintain accurate billing and payroll to account specific contracted rates and driver wages
Implement schedule and policy changes
Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budget
Work closely with marketing and field sales departments to maintain an understanding of the evolving market
Ensure a positive experience for drivers at the terminal

Minimum Qualification Requirements: 

2-3 years of previous experience in the transportation industry necessary
High school diploma or GED required and a degree in a related field strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Previous experience managing a team preferred
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle escalated situations quickly and in the best interest of the company
