Job Description

Job Summary:

The National Research Analyst provides quantitative and qualitative research insights for the iHeartMedia National team and Corporate personnel, including but not limited to sales teams and senior leadership. The position offers the ability to learn more about marketing, sales and programming. This position reports to the VP of National Research.

Utilize primary and syndicated research databases to provide national and market-level quantitative and qualitative data to secure business with prospective and current advertisers.

Create insightful data driven presentations that meet the client’s objectives.
Design research approaches to best address the full complement of iHeartMedia assets and advertising impact.
Fulfill ad-hoc sales research requests for a variety of information including audience metrics, competitive advertising spending, geo-targeting, and CPP/CPM data.
Educate sales staff on how best to utilize the quantitative and qualitative analytics provided.
Attend sales meetings and keep sales staff up to date on market, programming, and ratings changes.
Collaborate with other research divisions within the iHeartMedia National umbrella.

Requirements

Experience with media research and software programs including Nielsen Audio, Scarborough, NMI, GfK/MRI, ACT 1, Media Monitors, Nielsen TV, and comScore is highly desired.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is a must. Aptitude with Visual Basic macros is a plus.
Strong combination of analytical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to build positive relationships with a variety of personalities and roles
Ability to tell the “story” of our brands and their audiences
Passion for music, audio entertainment, and pop culture
Ability to manage expectations accurately in a high paced environment
Bachelor’s degree
