Responsibilities

Collaborate on security improvements to systems, networks and applications by assessing performing gap assessments, anticipating future requirements, and providing actionable recommendations.

Participate in the Security Incident Response Team to analyze logs, perform forensic analysis, contain exposure and implement lessons learned.
Participate in providing 24x7 support for security in production systems as necessary.
Provide and grow your technical expertise to guide the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security.
Researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends, and plans implementation of new or improved information security software or devices.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for various security technologies (e.g. anti-virus, access controls and firewall)\
Recognize problems and violations by identifying abnormalities and tracking issues  resolution
Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
Gain real-world practical and leadership skills through challenging hands-on opportunities.
Connect with subject matter experts, mentors and decision makers.
Be a part of an intern cohort that enjoys organized social, recreational and volunteer activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full time in a university Computer Science related degree program.
• You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing
• US Citizenship Required
• Experience in maintaining systems and networks and/or developing applications or the desire to learn.
• Understanding of security tools (anti-virus, patch management, vulnerability management, application security static/dynamic analysis, etc…).
• Strong analysis, presentation, writing, and communication skills.
• Exhibit high ethical standards, possess a professional work ethic, have a strong desire to learn new skills.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, .NET or other languages preferred.
• Security certifications (CISSP, OSCP, Security+) are a plus.
