Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct trials to improve Cliffs Non-Oriented Electrical Steel product line.
Oversee Inspection process and employees.
Analyze product and process data to drive cost reductions and ensure customer specification compliance.
Lead efforts to improve product line yield performance by reducing scrap losses.
Create and maintain safety and standard operating procedure documents for the Quality Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience in Electrical Steel processing, steelmaking, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to coordinate and execute projects on time and within budget.
Knowledge of basic statistics and problem solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time- management skills.
Supervision skills.
