Job Summary:

This position supports Financial Data Systems processes, resources, and systems across THC.  FDS ensures global financial data reliability, control, and integrity surrounding technical and process solutions.  This group is responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of all Hershey financial processes. Decisions and actions of this department affect the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction processing, financial analysis, and reporting used across Hershey. FDS governs global financial master data, ensures adequate control over financial information interfaced across Hershey’s systems environment as well as outlines, and executes Hershey’s financial system security strategy. This group also coordinates and manages Hershey’s financial close and consolidation.

With Hershey’s global expansion and significant investment in financial system solutions, such as SAP S/4, Blackline, Group Reporting, and any other integrated financial platforms, etc., this group plays a key leadership role in defining sustainable and controlled process solutions.  This central finance function demands knowledge of Hershey’s global operations, systems, and accounting requirements.  Combination of new technology, continuous process enhancements, and changing business landscape, FDS must maintain a high degree of technical proficiency to support ongoing finance and business requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of financially relevant business processes which integrate across a variety of financial systems, such as, SAP S/4, BlackLine, Group Reporting and associated interfacing applications.  Key requirements of this activity entail alignment with Hershey’s financial reporting structures, such as chart of accounts, cost elements and groups, cost centers, profit centers, allocations and assessments, financial data tables, and SAP finance module configuration (including new material movements). Participate and lead complex systems/business processes that integrate with financial reporting and control.  Champion and promote continuous improvement in financial processes and use of SAP S/4, SAP S/4, BlackLine and other key financial process/systems solutions.  Manage the modification and maintenance of financial structures and reporting requirements for business needs, including reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures.  Special focus is required in several areas, including:

For S4 project, design, configure, build and test financial processes working across the organization as it relates to financial systems in Record to Report

Lead the design, build, deployment, and maintenance of Intercompany process which integrate across a variety of financial systems, such as SAP S/4, Blackline, and associated interfacing applications and multiple workstreams.  Collaborate with cross-dependency teams such as Order to Cash and Supply Chain to build and test Intercompany configuration from an End to End perceptive.

Collect and build design documents financial reporting and analysis requirements for regional finance functions, Management reporting,  External Reporting and FP&A 

Communication of processes and system changes with all financial functions.

Develop and execute OCM training and knowledge transfer sessions working with Change Ambassador to finance and operational personnel across the region.

      2.  Perform and lead day-to-day financial or technical functions, which includes administering financial master data in various systems, such as BlackLine, SAP, SAP S/4, and other systems or connections. Partner with IS and other groups to ensure robust, sustainable, and automated control design for financially relevant data interfaces.  

     3.  Provide expert resources to research and assist with unusual problems, accessing special information, and serve as a technical and process consultant to employees throughout the company.

Experience:

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment.

Knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules, and related financial interdependencies across other SAP modules, such as Sales and Distribution, Materials Management and Production Execution.

Overall understanding of Information Technology concepts.

Good understanding of Hershey business processes or demonstrated aptitude of assimilating business processes.

Strong interpersonal leadership skills.

Strong organizational, planning and project management skills.

Basic knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes.

Knowledge of GAAP and basic understanding of internal controls.

Working knowledge of BlackLine or similar financial transformation software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or business systems emphasis.  CPA or MBA preferred.  Major public accounting experience a plus.

More than 6 years progressive experience in financial transaction processing, general ledger, financial reporting, and planning, including SAP experience.  Experience must demonstrate the ability to function well in both the technical environments of IT, and Accounting and Reporting.
