The role will report directly to the VP Business Integration and will be based in Norwalk, CT. The company is ideally looking for someone who has experience working in a fast growth and innovative environment in the e-commerce space. He/she will be required to work cross functionally and internationally with the senior Brand executives and integration teams to help with the strategic growth of the business. The Director Business Integration will support the company’s operating units (Brands) with the integration of acquisitions, x-Brand strategic initiatives and business transformation. In addition, this role will help drive the Booking Holdings level governance process for integration and strategic initiatives. As such, he/she will be capable of developing strong partnerships with senior business leaders and working in a highly collaborative way across a broad range of initiatives. Qualified candidates will have meaningful experience working in post-merger integration, strategic program management and business transformation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work with Corporate Development, Strategy and Brand leaders to develop integration plans, KPI’s, and provide recommendations for optimization
Develop plans for key initiatives and detailed roadmaps for execution of strategic programs and business transformation implementation
Provide support to VP Business Integration in obtaining buy-in from leadership team on key initiatives
Develop strong stakeholder relationships with Corporate Development and Strategy teams and across Brands and maintain effective communication channels
Work proactively with the Brands and Strategy on business requirements, process changes, implementation plans, etc. for strategic programs
Proactively manage risk, anticipate potential issues and implement appropriate mitigations
Keep executive sponsors informed via program management of the enterprise level integration dashboards for the portfolio of integrations and initiatives
Support Business Integration leader in driving the Booking Holdings level quarterly governance review process for integrations and strategic investments
Maintain currency of the Booking Holdings Integration Playbook and contribute thought leadership to advance the next versions of the playbook
Engage in leadership of business transformation initiatives and support the development of initiative level program management offices
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration or Operations; MBA is preferred
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in post-merger integration and/or large x-enterprise strategic program management in e-commerce, B2C SaaS business and/or a global software business
Consulting experience is highly desirable
Preferable -2-4 years experience in business transformation
Experience in e-commerce and a multi-brand business strategy is preferred
Experience building and leading a Program Management Office for multiple concurrent initiatives
Experience in planning, leading and supporting post-merger integration, cross-functional / global transformation programs / initiatives and facilitating discussions with executives
Experience reengineering end-to-end business processes. LEAN, Six Sigma or LEAN Sigma knowledge or certification is an asset
Experience working internationally and x-culturally on major initiatives
Advanced proficiency in Project Management tools, PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to be objective and think critically in consideration of leading practices that enable successful integrations
Demonstrated leadership and influence skills including ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional management without formal reporting relationship
Experience in identifying risks to project implementations and associated mitigation strategies
Demonstrated ability to understand and design business processes and design solutions
Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and capability of communicating with a diverse range of individuals. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the enterprise
Strong written communication skills and proven capacity to develop and deliver a point of view
Ability to build relationships with multiple x-functional teams to successfully implement projects
Innovative mindset and experience working in B2C internet service businesses
Ability to travel internationally. Travel requirement can range from 40%- 50%
