Opportunity summary:  As the Sales - Account Executive, you will represent WestRock to the customer and act as the critical liaison between the customer, sales, and operations teams throughout the end-to-end production process. As Sales - Account Executive, you will receive and process customer orders, inquiries, and/or customer issues related to orders. As the Sales - Account Executive, you will build and maintain customer relationships by delivering excellent service and support utilizing knowledge of products, pricing, logistics, demand planning, production planning, and inventory management.

Build long-term customer relationships by understanding customer needs and how to meet those needs in a way that maximizes profitability for the customer and the company

Provide pricing, inventory availability and production schedule information to customers

Track warehouse inventories and update customers on order status

Analyze customer forecast data to plan order production and meet customer’s forecasts

Record, organize, and process orders and/or inquiries received by telephone, email, and/or through personal customer contact

Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems

Ensure that customer requirements are understood by all departments so that orders can be processed and delivered efficiently

Support the development of corrective action plans to enable the Quality Manager to research and troubleshoot quality issues

Create customer estimates using contract pricing data and finalize with commercial team

Obtain pricing for services and materials required for the manufacturing of customer items that must be manufactured at a different facility

Serve as a connection between customers and sales staff to ensure responsiveness and customer satisfaction

Collaborate and negotiate viable solutions to maintain customer satisfaction while delivering on WestRock values

Partner with Purchasing, Planning, and Production to build and review customer specifications to ensure efficient production

Quickly and effectively resolve customer or production issues, maintaining clear communication with customers on status and resolution

Support Customer Service Manager or Supply Chain Manager in the resolution of escalated customer issues

What you need to succeed:

High School diploma or G.E.D., Bachelor’s degree preferred

Must have

minimum of 3 years of customer service related or sales administration work experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry

Proven track record of problem-solving and collaboration skills to achieve goals and objectives

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability leveraging order entry systems, demand planning tools, and estimating systems
