Employees in this role lead Area Fleet operations emphasizing safety, cost effectiveness, and customer focus. This position oversees all respective area assets to ensure profitability and effectiveness, and supervising maintenance activities throughout a respective area to ensure the fleet is safe, legal, reliable, and cost competitive.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Supervises daily activities and disseminates policies/procedures
Provides educational and training opportunities for employees
Reviews current vehicle rentals and leases
Mitigates transportation issues by attending local customer safety meetings or visiting the service center
Coordinates preventive maintenance scheduling and prioritizes needed repairs for Transmission and Distribution Vehicles
Oversees garage operations across a respective area of responsibility
Controls outsourcing for in-house vehicle or equipment repairs
Maintains a safe working environment for employees
Ensures environmental compliance across area responsibilities
Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GED
Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
Experience: 7+ years
Supervisor/Management Experience: 1+ years
Commercial Driver’s License
