Junior Software Engineer to support Threat Modeling Center (TMC) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at Schriever AFB, CO.
Position requires a software engineer experienced in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Candidate will design, develop, test, document and missile modeling products for the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) organization using C++ and Java programming languages on Windows operating systems. Primary responsibilities include designing and developing software to model various BMDS elements capabilities. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with TMC customers and presenting technical briefings to TMC stakeholders.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Must be proficient in C++, Java, or similar programming language, have a strong understanding of object oriented software development, and have a basic understanding of Windows platforms.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Currently have Interim Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience in developing software in C++ or Java.
Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development.
