Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Primary responsibility of a Part-time Sanitation Associate is cleaning of the distribution center (75% of duties). Perform routine cleaning including vacuuming; sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting, washing walls, doors, and windows, and emptying trash. Perform minor preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Assist service personnel as needed. Reports major repair and maintenance needs. Assist with snow removal.
Starting Pay: $12.62/hourly paid on a weekly basis
Schedule options available to choose from: (Approximately 30-32 hours weekly)
Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday 7:30am-4:00pm
Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm
Environment: Freezer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform warehouse clean-up, including removing plastic and cardboard, emptying garbage and scrubbing floors.
Perform office clean-up, such as cleaning spills on the floor, ensuring kitchen area is clean and orderly, keeping doors and light switches cleaned/sanitized.
Perform minor outside maintenance, such as emptying outside trash receptacles, lot clean-up and icing sidewalks.
Perform tasks in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location
Observe all Company safety policies and procedures.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
1 to 3 years’ experience working in a janitorial and/or maintenance role preferred.
Awareness of safety hazards; high regard for safety.
Ability to work in varied climate conditions, indoors and outdoors.
