Your Impact:
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Investments & Capital Markets risk governance team and will be expected to
Facilitate quarterly Risk and Control Self Assessments
Conduct timely review of incidents and operational risk events to identify and validate risks, determine root cause, assess impact, and produce concise write-ups
Identify, assess and design remediation action plans for issues and monitor their progress to completion
Update, and validate accuracy of risk data in BWise, an operational risk database
Conduct control-based testing for design and operating effectiveness
Undertake gap analysis of corporate policies and standards
Develop, improve and streamline divisional procedures and job aides
Analyze operational risk related data, monitor key indicators and produce monthly risk governance reports and materials for Risk Committees
Collaborate with various partners in Capital Markets and other parts of the organization
Challenge status quo and find opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes
Undertake ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Risk Management for Capital Markets and/or Audit for Capital Markets
Solid understanding of operational risk management framework
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to challenge status quo, strong analytical skills and pays attention to detail
Gravitas to interact effectively with all levels, including Senior Management
