Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this individual will be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. Provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, this individual should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic communication internally to the Business Unit globally. Will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations while providing high-level confidential administrative support to the Business Unit CEO and VP, HR.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Communications responsibilities (approximately 60% of time)
Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
Ensure all CEO communications are consistent and align to the overall strategy.
Drive clarity of all engagement initiatives through connected communications across the business.
Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various initiatives.
Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
Research and write content for the company website, infographics, and newsletters.
Functions with a moderate degree of independence, assists with large to medium size projects, interacts effectively with all levels with a high degree of professionalism, sets priorities with minimal direction and manages confidential/sensitive materials.
Executive Admin Responsibilities (approximately 40% of time)
Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the CEO and VP, HR including: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings.
Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO and VP, HR schedule is followed and respected.
Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO's office and internal
departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior
management staff.
Assists in coordinating (to include agenda creation), scheduling and facilitation of senior management team meetings and off-sites.
Participates as an adjunct member of the Executive Team including assisting in scheduling and facilitating
meetings and attending when necessary.
Assist in the creation of presentations in PowerPoint.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential)
A minimum of 1-2 years experience in communications strategy development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
Strategic and creative mindset
Meticulous attention to detail
Analyzing and troubleshooting problems (to include technology to run meetings), identifying solutions, recommending and implementing methods, procedures and/or techniques for resolution
Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and assignments
