Job Description:
We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an IT Specialist II Sourcing and Contract Management for our IT Division at our global headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.
Under immediate supervision, the jobholder performs assigned tasks using established procedures. Works independently (and within a greater team of experts) to ensure the value of IT technology contracts is optimized and contracts support the long-term vision for IT goods and services. Proposes and may implement changes to processes.
This position is responsible for supporting the creation and management of IT technology sourcing and contracts on a global basis. Using the company’s standards where possible, the jobholder interacts with associates in the Purchasing and Legal functions to negotiate and implement contracts. The position is also responsible for conducting the renewal process for all IT software contracts and business-based SaaS contracts under IT’s area of support of the businesses.
As the IT Specialist, you will:
Collaborates with internal customers to collect contract requirements for renewing and establishing new contracts
Analyzes contracts for new purchases, renewals, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures related to IT technology.
Negotiates commercial terms on all assigned contracts following Huntsman-specific contract requirements
Submits accurate details for the creation of Purchase Requisitions
Establishes and manages contract records in contract repositories including contract information, notifications of contract renewal alerts, contract triggers and related artifacts
Accurately analyzes and communicates changes to requirements for renewals to meet the needs of the business
Takes steps to terminate contracts as needed
Participates in and/or leads RFQ, RFP and RFI processes through bid analysis, establishing new vendors, and establishing the contract portfolio
May coordinate and lead periodic meetings and related reporting of in-process contract requests within IT
Skills and Experiences Required:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field with 5+ consecutive, recent years of specific experience
A Master’s Degree in a related field and/or paralegal training is preferred
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
Must have experience with IT software contract development
Must be able to understand contract terms relevant to IT contracts and discern contract deliverables
Working knowledge of IT market analysis and sourcing strategies
Working knowledge of cloud base services
Good knowledge of procurement and contract negotiation
Strong customer service mentality
Understanding of business practices and methodologies, commercial services, and financial and accounting operations
Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
Excellent communicator; internally and externally
Experience in working in a multinational environment
Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are a plus
