Job Description

As part of the sales team, this position provides technical sales support to assure successful customer integration of Local Voice Products (POTS, PRI, Centrex).  Collaborates and contributes to unit sales plan through pre-sales technical consulting activities.

Roles and responsibilities of the AT&T Network Sales Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:

•    Direct sales of all local voice products (POTS, PRI, Centrex) and services for winback and retention
•    Consult with customers in solving their strategic business needs for local voice and identify any voice transformation opportunities for migrations
•    Assemble a holistic view of customer’s business, to ensure that all local voice expired contracts are renewed to protect the base
•    Host sales presentation calls with customers and sales teams  
•    Provide local voice subject matter expertise to customers and sales teams
•    Provide technical local voice expertise, to assure successful customer integration and implementation of established company local voice products
•    Respond to Local voice RFP’s and closing sales of additional local voice services to existing customers
•    Consultant works independently with minimum supervision/guidance.
•    This is position is NOT on sales compensation.

Required Skills and Experience:

•    Five or more years of relevant experience
•    Minimum of three to five years in engineering
•    Knowledge of multiple vendor and equipment couples with a thorough understanding of services offerings
•    Previous sales engineering and/or technical sales consultation experience
•    Exceptional corporate presentation, and relationship-building skills
•    Effective writing skills; ability to support the development of technically focused, solutions-oriented sales proposals
•    Highly motivated, skilled and self-directed with the ability to work well independently
•    Ability to translate business requirements into technology-based solutions
•    Full working knowledge of AT&T company products and services
•    Knowledge of functional/process areas
•    Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional organizations and customers
•    Excellent customer communications, interaction and presentation skills are required.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to travel as needed
