Find your future with us.The Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) is a family of GPS-guided weapons including derivatives to extend range or provide additional capability like laser guidance. The weapons are carried on nearly all USN and USAF platforms as well as foreign military aircraft. The JDAM program is in high rate production, and has already delivered more than 450,000 tailkits to our customer. In parallel, there are multiple development programs to replace obsolete parts, increase capability and/or create new derivative uses for the weapon system.Direct Attack is looking for a Technical Lead Project Engineer for the Quick Strike Extended Range (QSER) wing kit development program. In this role you will operate as the technical lead of a multi-disciplined team to finalize the QSER hardware design, software design, and implementation of required changes to work with a USN provided mine for aerial delivery.Responsibilities
* Technical Lead of QSER contract
* Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the program customer and other supplier/partners working with Boeing on this program.
* Manage technical deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, opportunities, and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned
* Establish priorities based on customer needs, and provide technical, business, and program leadership for the development and execution of the QSER plan
* Act as the primary technical interface with the JDAM Program Manager, United States Navy (USN) customer Chief Engineer
* Engage customers as required keeping them informed of significant events, respond to customer verbalization / written actionsThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
* Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
* 3 or more years experience leading and managing projects with multi-disciplined teams
* Experience understanding/managing the execution and implementation of complex weapons systems
* Experience interfacing directly with senior military officials and executives
* Willing and able to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
* Proficiency in Systems Engineering including understanding of requirements management, integrated planning, risk management, configuration management and contractual data management
* Proficiency in avionics integration, avionics system upgrades, system qualification activities, host aircraft integration activities, flight test activities, and transition to production activities

Typical Education/Experience
* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD9 years related work experience, Master12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
