Job Description

We are looking for you to join our team as a Component Engineer/ Principal Component Engineer based out of Sunnyvale, CA. NGFeaturedJobs #LI-MS-105   This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below:
Basic Qualifications for a Component Engineer:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 2 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 0 years of relevant work experience.
Basic understanding of drawing and part list reading.
Experience reviewing engineering specifications with the ability to translate accurate part definitions and attributes in CM databases and parts lists.
Knowledge of Configuration Management principles.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Component Engineer:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 5 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 0 years relevant experience.
Basic understanding of drawing and part list reading.
Experience reviewing engineering specifications with the ability to translate accurate part definitions and attributes in CM databases and parts lists.
Knowledge of Configuration Management principles.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Teamcenter, ISE, SAP is a plus
Self-sufficient and proactive.
Good communication skills and outgoing to interact with suppliers, vendors, and a variety of departments.
Accurate data entry skills
Manage multiple competing program priorities and tasks to meet Engineering and Program needs in a fast paced environment
Ability to clearly present technical information with strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to generate and maintain working logs
Ability to prepare training material and lead training classes to a large group
