Job Description

Position Summary

This role is primarily responsible for carrying out individual work assignments concerning the development and implementation of the expectations, strategies, objectives, initiatives and measures pertaining to NERC Compliance. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for evaluating, planning, scheduling, and executing patches on NERC-CIP protected machines in accordance with Duke policy.

Engage with project and maintenance activities to understand potential NERC-CIP impacts and provide guidance to ensure compliance.

Interface with Duke Regional Compliance Manager and CIP Program Management.

Provide periodic support to other Duke Energy facilities.

It should be noted that the job responsibilities for this role have the potential to change over time as required by regulations, policy, new project implementations, etc.

Working Conditions

Office environment with some travel and visits to field locations to support audits

Travel 5-15% to other locations to support audit activities; very little overnight travel

Required Qualifications for Compliance Analyst

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and at least 2 years utility, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience with at least 1 year NERC Compliance experience; OR at least 6 years utility, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience with at least 1 year NERC Compliance experience in lieu of a degree

Desired Qualifications

Utility or industrial experience.

Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS) experience.

Cybersecurity experience.

Understanding of power plant processes, maintenance, and operations.

Understanding of NERC Standards.

Understanding of Duke IT Policies.

Experience with eMax/Maximo or other work management systems.
