The Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator is responsible for serving as the technical consultant to all non-Laboratory departments throughout the system that perform waived level complexity laboratory testing. This employee coordinates the provision of laboratory testing at various points of care throughout the System assures proper CLIA waivers are obtained when required assures the quality of this testing provides technical oversight for all aspects of this testing and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to assure accurate and timely results and well as reporting to local, state, federal authorities as required.
The Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator is responsible for implementing various departments objectives while simultaneously maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with physicians and professional personnel. He/She accepts responsibility and authority must be self-directed and well organized. The POCT Coordinator must support the policies and procedures of the Laboratory Director and OptumServe.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related scientific discipline
* Licensure as required per state of testing or states they are supporting
* 3 years of clinical laboratory experience under a qualified director in Medical Technology with demonstrated knowledge of, and proficiency in molecular and antigen point of care, waived, infectious disease including maintenance of all quality and administrative activities for compliance
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications
* Registration as a Medical Technologist by ASCP
* Experience in quality assurance and quality management program delivery and management
* Worked on and delivered in large scale complex clinical programs

Colorado Residents OnlyThe salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
