Catering Operations


The Catering Operations department develops, creates and provides the great dining experiences on board our aircraft.

Job overview and responsibilities

Lead daily shift activities
Product inventory control and ordering of the following: produce, baked goods, dairy products, liquor, dry goods, frozen products, equipment and supplies
Participate in month end inventory
Receive and check food, materials and equipment product quality
Reconcile purchase orders against invoices for accounts payable
Receive requisitions, complete and deliver product to requisitioning department
Complete equipment requisitions
Deliver equipment shipment to cargo or from vendors/customers
Audit the kitchen for excess equipment
Generate purchase orders from the Inventory Control System (ICS)
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storeroom for safety
Maintain equipment in proper working order
Conduct physical inventory
Conduct weekly inspection of the storeroom to ensure daily activities are completed
Operate company vehicles, forklift, baler, hand truck and pallet jack 
Receive and store commercial chemicals
Work in a high-bay freezer at 0 defgrees F for a minimum of 45-minute intervals
Work indoors under regular manufacturing equipment 
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division and percentages is required; math skills are also required for inventory and requisition completion
Must posses a working knowledges of MS Office products
Ability to navigate the internet
Must be willing and able to learn the United Chelsea Inventory Control System (ICS)
Ability to lift and carry storeroom products including pushing and pulling soda/beverage pallets with a pallet jack
Ability to receive, store, and deliver product
Ability to hear paging system to respond to product requisitions and delivery of merchandise
Ability to see to operate storeroom equipment including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc.
Attention to detail while conducting physical inventories and operating forklift and other equipment
A minimum of one-year experience in warehouse/storeroom operation 
A minimum of one-year experience in a leadership role
Experience operating warehouse/storeroom equipment including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc.  
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be willing and able to work any shift in a 24-hour-a-day / 7-day-a-week operation, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
