Responsibilities

Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Be able to identify metals, identify weights and size of materials and how to use them.
Knowledge of layout and design of structures, architectural and mechanical.
To assist all other crafts/trades in the maintenance and construction of plant equipment
Work in conformance with local, state and federal codes and regulations, blueprints, specifications, trade practice, shop practice and verbal or written instructions.
Weld, Braze, cut, fit and work with a broad spectrum of metals for the maintenance and construction of plant facilities and equipment. Weld in all positions and have a minimum knowledge and proficiency to work in several processes of welding including, but not limited to (TIG/MIG/SMAW,ETC) Have minimum knowledge of methods of identifying unknown metals
Maintain any licenses or certificates as required by local, state and federal codes and regulations within the geographical area, as pertains to the individual skill set performing such work.
All applicants will be expected to pass a vertical uphill 6G test within 90 days of accepting the job.

Qualifications

Required:

All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift
High School or GED degree
3 years’ experience as welder
