Job Description
The Events - Day of Coordinator role is a year-round, part-time, on-call position, reporting directly to the Hospitality Director of Copper & Kings. This role is responsible for managing events from beginning to end, working directly with the client to ensure a well-executed unforgettable event. This role will work directly with the Event Sales Coordinator to review all the details of each event they manage and communicate any last minute changes to the front and back of the house at the venue. This person will provide a Hospitality Leadership role in support of the Event Sales Coordinator, by leading events in both the Art Gallery and the Courtyard at Copper & Kings. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their growth at Copper & Kings in the food and beverage industry. The ideal candidate would have a strong desire to gain leadership, service, production and relationship building knowledge in all aspects of internal and external hospitality.
Responsibilities
Represent and Support the C&K Brand and Vision as Leader in Events to deliver the best guest experience
Meet weekly with Event Sales Coordinator to review upcoming banquet event orders using Tripleseat Event Platform
Coordinate with the Hospitality Director prior to event to ensure venue and staffing preparedness for the event
Manage weekly events at Copper & Kings and manage off-site events when they can be scheduled again
Assist Event Sales Coordinator when needed, with finalizing event details with clients
Coordinate with the Event Sales Coordinator to gain understanding of event and finalize the banquet event order
Coordinate, week of, with all outside vendors to ensure accurate timeline of deliveries
Full understanding of bar and food offerings
Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and tour staff to review banquet event order
Check in regularly with the client, or their day of coordinator, throughout the event and make sure the timeline is being followed and that they do not have any questions or needs
Input all closing docs in timely manner following event
Ensure closing duties are completed between FOH and BOH
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in front of the house service role and 2 years in food & beverage industry
Food Handlers Certification
Strong interpersonal skills:
*Verbal, written and listening
*Ability to work with a diverse set of team members
*Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of clients
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Passion for hospitality and events with a willingness to do what is needed to produce the best experience for our guests
Familiarity with Microsoft Suites, One Drive, and Outlook
Ability to deal with ambiguity and problem solve in the moment.
