Summary

WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Associate Analyst in our Milwaukee, WI location. 

This position is accountable for supporting the various functions related to Accounts Receivable/Bad debt accounting.  The incumbent will be responsible for critical financial controls and tasks for the customer billing system to ensure timely and accurate revenue and accounts receivable financial reporting to the General Ledger.

Additional Job Responsibilities include:

Problem Solving: Identifying issues, conducting root cause investigations, and taking appropriate action 
Interpreting large amounts of financial data to determine the impact on financial statements
Establishing budgets and forecast for Accounts Receivable and Bad Debt and conducting variance analysis 
Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, Internal and external financial reports, and complex spreadsheets.  
Respond to data requests resulting from audit, external reporting, regulatory, and management 
Support process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business degree is required
Minimum of 2 years’ accounting, finance or customer billing system experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail, a strong initiative and results-orientated
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Work independently and as a team member within and outside of finance (i.e. external/internal auditors, customer service, regulatory and, etc.).
