Job Summary:
The Application Systems Analyst provides technical and business expertise to ensure successful implementation, ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancement of systems that support the vision and business strategies of CalvertHealth to include electronic health record and practice management applications.
Education:
Associate's Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Engineering, Nursing, Medical Technology, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience (two years providing applications support of ambulatory systems). Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
NextGen Certified Professional (NCP) preferred in EPM or EHR. Licensing, certification or credentialing in a relevant clinical or financial field preferred.
Experience:
At least one (1) year experience implementing and supporting practice management and/or ambulatory electronic health record systems required. Prior experience supporting NextGen EPM or EHR systems preferred. Proven skills in workflow analysis and process reengineering required. Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the provision of training, required. Must work well in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with internal and external customers and in promoting a positive work atmosphere.
Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.

The history of CalvertHealth began in a two-story, frame building in 1919. Over time, as the county grew, so did the hospital – upgrading technology, improving facilities and expanding services.
