Design Sales Engineer, Azure/Security

You are a senior level, information technology professional possessing experience administering and managing Microsoft Azure (and/or other comparable) public cloud services (e.g. AWS or GCP) with an understanding of complex IT solutions and integrating diverse computing architectures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Information Systems / Computer Science / Software Development / etc. from an accredited college or university with a preferred 1-3 years of related industry and job experience. Public Speaking required. Microsoft Accreditations/Certifications highly desirable.

Get Inspired by the Work You’ll Do

Proactively engage with SYNNEX sales personnel to sell Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft solutions including cross-sell /upsell opportunities and sales objection handling.
Guide Microsoft Partners (resellers) through Azure onboarding including familiarization with the Azure administration, cost management, and common solution scenarios (virtual machines, storage, networking, backup/recovery, etc.)
Coach resellers on the merits of the Azure cloud platform and on how to monetize it effectively
Conduct regular, scheduled online and in-person sales training and technical enablement events on Cloud Security and other related topics
Provide technical guidance through personal knowledge, experience, and research in collaboration with SYNNEX and Microsoft personnel
Maintain current understanding of Cloud Security competitive landscape and Microsoft Azure points of differentiation
Provide concise feedback to SYNNEX management and Microsoft account team on roadblocks resellers/customers are encountering as it relates to delivering solutions on Microsoft Cloud Security and related concepts
Form relationships with reseller’s and vendor’s technical staff to identify new opportunities
Provide sales support for Cloud Computing and Security architecture, design and presentation of solutions to meet the prospect’s needs
Assist in the delivery of pre-sales pilots, demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, evaluation and benchmarking

Understanding of IT solutions.  Experience with the following Cloud Computing solutions are desired:

Microsoft Azure (or equivalent)
Windows Server and/or Linux, Virtualization
Productivity Solutions (Office 365)

Ability to pass Microsoft technical security certifications on Azure (AZ-500) within 180 days of employment
Working knowledge of Microsoft (or equivalent) cloud security concepts
Familiarity with implementing Microsoft (or equivalent) cloud security controls
Proficiency with Microsoft (or equivalent) cloud identity and access management topics
1-3 years related Azure experience preferred, recently graduated candidates with Cloud experience will be considered
Prior experience with the identification and resolution of security issues is desired
Familiarity with one or more programming/scripting languages a plus; bash shell, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, golang, R, etc. preferred, but not a requirement
Previous IT consulting and/or pre-sales engineering experience desired, but not a requirement
Government clearance a plus, but not required
BS/BA Degree or Cloud Computing experience equivalent
