You will partner with PepsiCos Global Financial Shared Services (GFSS) organization and Sector Controllers to develop and promote enhanced capability strategies, coordinate and lead implementations, and manage sustainment for the Blackline accounting automation tool. As the Blackline application owner, you will collaborate with the software provider, third party consultants, PepsiCo Information Technology (IT), and PepsiCo accounting and controls associates and leaders from every sector. Objectives include encouraging common processes for balance sheet account reconciliations, increasing utilization of the shared reconciliation system platform, sustaining an effective operating/governance model and controls, and optimizing account reconciliation to maximize efficiency and performance, improve controls, and standardize globally.

As the Blackline Global COE Lead, you will:

* Develop Global Blackline Capability Explore and evaluate new Blackline functionality (e.g. dashboards, insights benchmarking, etc.). Educate all sectors on any new Blackline features and potential benefits. Actively participate in the Blackline user community to learn how other companies are leveraging the product.
* Liaise with IT and Blackline Partner with the PepsiCo IT team to provide specifications and testing for automated accounting interfaces (Oracle, SAP GL feeds) and troubleshoot technical issues that impact the Blackline system. Work with the IT E-Commerce Group to maintain global calendar mapping. Work with the Blackline Account Manager to keep the software provider informed of Pepsis initiatives and interests as they relate to our use of the system. Escalate internally when outstanding invoice issues arise, escalate with the software provider when PepsiCos expectations are not being met, coordinate meetings between Blackline representatives and PepsiCo, and manage requests and execution of all order forms throughout the year for additional licenses as well as annual renewals.
* Lead and Direct Blackline Implementations.

Create and consult on project plans, approaches, processes and tools, enabling the execution of successful Blackline implementations throughout PepsiCo. Execute application administration work for new implementations. Advise Blackline project teams on project planning, risk management, and implementation tasks and support delivery across the globe. Develop and refine implementation change management and training materials and facilitate implementation testing processes.

* Perform Blackline System Administration Approve/deny access requests and provision approved user accounts. Track license usage by market via global SharePoint site. Maintain global Blackline COE SharePoint site, including general timelines, contacts, and documentation. Maintain global hierarchy and international team structures in Blackline, import all currency rates for 3 financial calendars each period/month, create and maintain rules-based administration to reduce the workload of local admins (due dates and account/group settings), and import GL balance data files into Blackline to support international markets without automation.

Additional Support Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

* Develop Reconciliation Process Standards/Fundamentals Partner with GFSS and Sector Controllers in the development and refinement of best practices and documentation. Oversee updates to change management and training materials for standards and support implementation of standards across the globe.
* Provide Blackline Implementation Project Management Manage and facilitate cross-sector meetings (governance discussions, best practice sessions, market implementation team meetings). Create and refine the Blackline business case model and support value realization through Blackline.

Ensure Stability of PepsiCos Blackline Solution Oversee definition/maintenance of single instance configuration, provide leadership and direction in defining and implementing operating model decisions (e.g., global/local/business admin roles, user provisioning, GL imports, company news, application upgrade coordination) and global governance model decisions (e.g., workflow role naming, GL account segments, rec templates, certification language/checklist, reconciliation item aging, roll-up/reporting)

Qualifications/Requirements

* Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Accounting
* 5+ years of work experience, preferably with a consumer products company

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Blackline SaaS tool
* Experience preparing and processing period journal entries and/or intercompany invoices
* Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
* Experience with period close internal reporting including Pre and Post close decks, and balance sheet variance analysis
* Proficient SharePoint skills, sufficient to maintain existing sites
* Ability to work irregular hours, staggered shifts to accommodate global time zones for meetings, implementation tasks, and training
* Strong facilitation skills
* Ability to take lead on small group projects
* Experience collaborating with third-party contractors and vendors
* Ability to work with a large, global, functionally diverse, and informed user base that demands high-quality service
* Must be able to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize assignments to deliver quality work in a timely manner
* Solid problem solving and analytical skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes
