Job DescriptionThe focus of this job is to manage, problem-solve and work cross-functionally in support of the material flow between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet requirements of GE, Customers, and Suppliers. In this role, you will:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ability to do and perform roles and responsibilities of the Material Handler classification and additionally the following:
* Communicate well in person, through email and phone with cross-functional departments, suppliers, and customers
* Ensure timely material of project parts and prep of shipment (daily movement to all suppliers)
* Report to upper leadership of bottlenecks and result management to help team get back on track
* Validate quantity of parts shipping out for proper BOM management
* Trouble shoot material related issues as required
* Identify and resolve process issues
* Develop BOMs / Tracking list to identify hot items that need high priority of processing
* Collect data, track, and communicate status of projects
* Track and report the flow of material from all EMUs to the OSS Bus-Stops.
* Ensure required parts are placed in proper engineering hold cage.
* Work hand and hand with OCI tech, D/A Tech and Assembly Techs on in house routing of parts.
* Navigate HSC systems such as SFM, and Oracle.
* Work diligently to alert the broader team to any material shortages that have the potential to delay any job for customers
* Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between cells/departments of the service center according to production schedule
* Be responsible for the input of data in smartshop that details any additional work steps that may be needed
* Communicate with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates of scheduled work
* Work to plan the flow of a multitude of jobs being processed in the cell
* Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
* Review shop router books for accuracy and completion of stamps.
* Production and Processing 4 Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
* Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Must be able to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English language
* Display computer literacy in logistics software tools, Microsoft Office and Excel
* Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time
* Strong focus on process improvement such 5S tools and Lean Six Sigma
* Support all lean activities and initiatives and action workouts
* Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
* Verify and assist to maintain shortage reports
* Identify missing and late additions to the BOM

Eligibility Requirements:

* High School Diploma / GED
* Minimum of 1 year experience in Materials
Desired Requirements:

* Previous Material Handling experience
* Advanced Excel Skills PPE required (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.)
