Job Description Summary
The Aero Alliance Repair, Sales, and Operational Planning (S&OP) Leader will responsible for repair forecasting for internal shops and external repair vendors for Aero Alliance (50/50 GE Power & Baker Hughes Joint Venture) and work closely with component repair shops to ensure planning and capacity for Aero Alliance network repair requirements. Ideal candidate can be located in either Florence Italy, Houston, TX USA, or Cincinnati, OH USA.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
* Lead Long-Term Repair Planning Activities for Aero Alliance Shop Repairs
* Triangulate between new material forecast, repaired material and shop capacity to identify top bottlenecks to production, get to root causes utilizing Lean tools and drive action to close gaps ahead of critical shortages
* Collaborate closely with Aero Alliance Shop Customer Fulfillment & Scheduling team to ensure ownership transfer to short-term scheduling and planning activities and drive feedback loop on improvements
* Work with the Digital Technology team to tie forecasted demand, specific units and material
* Drive collaboration with the Channels to participate in and give inputs to Repair Network Strategy based on their internal event planning process
* Work with Platform Leaders to identify fleet-wide issues driving incremental demand for shop visits (unplanned events) and related new & repaired material
* Develop plan for all Asset Management platform delivery, including Aero Alliance and partner shops
* Lead communications on Repair Network Strategy for senior leadership reviews, including visualization of shop output for long-term forecast
* Drive accountability and continuous improvement for forecasting accuracy with Channels and partners, owning and reviewing key metrics and understanding levers for improvement
Key Skills Needed:
* Previous experience with S&OP, focused on Services S&OP, is a must
* Experience with continuous improvement through Lean or other methodologies
* Some Technical knowledge of Aero derivative products (Flange-to-Flange Engines, Repairs, Cost Out and other Services)
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
* ome experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Planning function
Desired Characteristics
* Experience with Integrated Business Planning/Enterprise Business Planning
* Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic business environment
* Experience that demonstrates technical knowledge and understanding of Gas Turbine systems 3 Aero derivatives is an advantage
* Demonstrate experience in Shop Operations, S&OP or other Supply Chain function, including Lean
* Self-directed with demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
* Displays excellent personal skills, and able to communicate well with internal and external customers
* Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
* Ability to build complex planning models, including collaboration with Digital Technology
* Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
* PC Proficiency
