Job Description
Responsibilities
LPN position is respoonsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treament of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients measuring vital signs (i.e. pulse rate, temperature , blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required. executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors, documents treatment progress and patient respons. delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance and management of acute and chronic conditions. Service Excellence is required and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent
completion of LPN nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of one (1) year college or Technical school. Associates degree preferred.
Current BLS certification required
Current FL State LPN license
