Job Description

Under general supervision, responsible for working with investment managers and in-house technology partners, operational areas, management and product development during the implementation process of onboarding a new Hedge Fund Services client. The Client Implementation function is responsible for onboarding third party clients onto the HFS platform and converting data sets from existing fund administrators or clients.

Major Duties

Acts as the main point of contact with external investment managers and in-house technology partners, operational areas, management and product development during the implementation process.
Involved on multiple implementation projects simultaneously from beginning to end.
Engage with project manager to ensure structure for weekly client meetings including producing agendas and document and distribute takeaways.
Interface with internal and external IT to ensure external IT setup is completed timely and within the constraints of the internal control framework.
Identify and communicate bespoke client requests (for reporting and other IT builds) according to established guidelines.
Ensure all necessary implementation tracking documents are initiated and maintained (client matrix, subway map, etc.).
Perform analysis of financial statements and supporting documents as part of portfolio data validation.
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
Leverage NT tools and knowledge of financial instruments to onboard client’s portfolio into the NT HFS system
Reconcile data to ensure accuracy of data loaded into the HFS system
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.
Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas
Perform and oversee all processes related to daily trade break resolution stocks, bonds, listed options and futures, and OTC products

Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
In-depth Functional / Industry knowledge is required
Experience in exchange traded securities settlement operations preferred, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with financial markets and instruments
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in an extremely time sensitive conditions
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Technical skills / systems knowledge is required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Relevant proven work experience is preferred.
