Boxer Property and its related brands is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing to oversee key aspects of its commercial, retail, and hospitality marketing operations. Founded in 1992, Boxer is a vertically-integrated company with operations across the US and also overseas. In addition, to its core commercial activities, Boxer manages a large portfolio of collaborative / co-working / executive suite space, plus various restaurants, golf, and resort properties, and influences related ventures as diverse as software, wine, insurance and more.

The Senior Marketing Director will have a deep and broad experience identifying and driving high-impact marketing strategies for both the short and long-term through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate is passionate and intellectually curious, stays up to date on latest industry and marketing trends, allowing them to craft creative and impactful marketing strategies. They communicate well and know how to influence others across the organization to drive the outcomes they need. Finally, they are pragmatic and can balance short and long-term efforts.

Responsibilities & Duties

Strategy & Vision

Own strategic planning process such as Mission Statement, High-Level Goals, Mid-Level Goals, Roadmaps, Annual Marketing Plan and Forecasts, Campaign Calendar, etc.
Manage Marketing strategy for core brands (Boxer Property, Boxer Retail, Boxer Resorts, Boxer Workstyle); provide support for our other affiliated brands (software, insurance, staffing, and other related ventures).

Thought Leadership & Inter-Departmental Relations

Drive communication and support for key initiatives across all parts of the organization, including senior executives; participate in cross-departmental meetings.
Attend, speak and represent company and external events
Keep up with latest web trends with regard to UX, mobility, search, navigation, chat, and leasing / employment processes, responsive design.
Research, select & establish user training on third party tools including Marketing Automation, SEO Tools, Social, CMS, Analytics, etc.
Advise on materials to meet the needs of various departments.
Work closely with Application Development team to make web & system improvements.

Team Management:

The Senior Marketing Director has overall responsibility for the corporate marketing team, including US-based and international team members.
Promote a team culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, collaboration and a commitment to quality and customer service.
Task and project review with team to help team stay on top of case load and project momentum; manage workload allocation.
Daily scrum with Marketing Team.
Manage performance reviews, career development, roles and responsibilities, and hiring for an international team.

Productivity & Throughput:

Reduce time to complete marketing projects and tasks, while maintaining quality.
Review existing processes and define system & process improvements.
Manage and embrace existing Marketing Helpdesk (ticket-based system) as central work tracking system.
Maintain accountability for SLA within the department and for internal customers.

Process Design & Optimization

Develop scalable playbooks and processes for execution within the Marketing team and across departments; produce related training materials.
Develop a comprehensive KPI framework to measure, monitor, analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and disseminate. (Email, PPC, SEO, Lead sources, Web, etc.).

Specific Marketing Functions Of Interest

Lead Attribution - Improve lead attribution tracking.
List Management - Effective list building & list maintenance program.
Marketing Collaterals Advise on signage, website design, email templates, print materials, landing pages, etc.
Content Marketing - Oversee Content Marketing Program (social, blog, landing pages).
Campaign Management - Plan, implement, execute, track & optimize campaigns.
Marketing Analytics Create and maintain analytics program tracking key metrics and outcomes.
Audience Analysis & Customer Satisfaction Manage ongoing programs in these areas.
Web - Ongoing optimization of websites, based on analytics & forward-thinking design.

Other Comments

Experience in commercial real estate is not a requirement for this position.
This is a full-time position based in Houston, TX.
Boxer is highly focused on process, systems, and accountability.
This particular position is largely about managing complex operations with many moving parts.  It requires creativity in problem solving and driving innovation, but not the type normally associated with a marketing department (design, writing, etc.).
Our team is split between the US and overseas, with full-time support staff in our offices in places like India, Mexico, and Honduras.
