The purpose of the Parker Hannifin Internship Program was established in 1978 to identify and help develop promising college students, by providing real-world experience in disciplines critical to Parker's business. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience while supporting the HR department's function.
Essential Functions:
• Provide functional support for the HR department
• Provide specialized expertise in one or more HR functional areas and assist in generalist responsibilities for the location
• Assist with projects and programs of a diverse scope relating to HR functions
• Assist in organizational development and change that supports key business objectives
• Adhere to, and promote adherence to all ethical standards
• Apply continuous improvement measures and methods to help create efficient HR administrative processes
• Assist in recruitment efforts, onboarding, retention, record keeping and auditing
• Assist in event planning, team member recognition programs, community outreach and other social programs
• Provide HRIS administration
• Provide support and assistance to maintain strong, positive employee relations • Perform these and all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• All team members are expected to keep a clean and well organized work area, and maintain a high level of safety and quality
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision or assistance
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to provide high quality customer service via phone calls, email and face-to-face interactions
• Requires excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
• Requires advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
• Requires strong project management skills to support multiple projects simultaneously
• Requires strong problem-solving capabilities necessary to accomplish duties and tasks of the position
• Must be personable and able to comfortably, and pleasantly, deal with a variety of people
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or in a business field with HR as a minor
