Apples Worldwide Education Strategy team is growing, and we encourage you to apply. Were looking for an experienced instructional designer who loves educational technology and is committed to creating transformative experiences for educators and third party providers who support the integration of Apple technology into K12 and higher education environments. Youll work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where quality, creativity, and accountability are expected.

This position is home-based and can be located in any major city within the US.

Key Qualifications

? 8+ years of experience in education and instructional or learning experience design (LXD), with a focus on K-12 and higher education.
? Ability to create end-to-end learning experiences and build a consistent learning journey that truly shapes the future.
? Expertise in collaborating cross-functionally with partners of different backgrounds and perspectives while ensuring alignment and consistent messaging across multiple stakeholders.
? Superb writing and editing skills, with deep knowledge of instructional design models while developing complex scope and sequences from scratch, independently.
? Well-versed expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, educational technology, and creating content for multicultural audiences.
? Proven experience writing video and/or audio scripts as well as instructional text and courses.
? Proficiency with Apples ecosystem and presentation software applications, including Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie, GarageBand, and Clips.
? Ability to learn, navigate, and create within learning management systems with little to no oversight to analyze build, edit, and assess curricula for all different learning environments (asynchronous and synchronous, classroom-based and virtual).
? Passion and self-motivation, with excellent organizational, time/budget management, and communication skills.
? Ability to stand by your deep analysis, wisdom, and experience to make quality and timely decisions.
? Exceptional decision-making abilities, tenacity, conviction, and attention to detail.

Description

As a member of the Apple Professional Learning Team, you will:

- Design, write, edit, and evaluate professional learning content for educators and third party providers who deliver professional learning on behalf of Apple.
- Identify course learning objectives and the engaging activities learners will complete to meet them.
- Determine the instructional graphics, videos, and supporting materials needed to support the learning objectives.
- Create experiences, tasks, and materials appropriate for adult learners.
- Work closely with subject matter specialists to craft, revise, and maintain professional learning content.
- Develop valid modes of assessment that correlate to learning objectives. Assist with vetting and updating assessments.
- Design, develop, and maintain classroom, virtual classroom, and self-paced training content using traditional instructional design and rapid development strategies.
- Promote and participate in intra- and inter-team innovation, technology integration, process improvement, and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date on and apply best practices in educational technology, learning theory, and instructional design.



Education & Experience

- Masters degree or equivalent experience required
- Doctorate preferred


Additional Requirements

- Proven experience in education, instructional design, educational leadership, and/or educational technology with success as a principal, assistant superintendent, instructional leader and/or curriculum consultant.
