Job Description

Mission:  Animates the industrialization of new grades or new equipment enabling the achievement of product and industrial performance targets by controlling the associated risks associated in the area of expertise.  Assists Operations in resolving Quality and throughput issues associated with the manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

·Leads the development and industrialization of new grades in compliance with the defined specifications and industrial constraints

· Industrializes the changes in the product / manufacturing processes by applying and/or facilitating the Quality planning process utilizing the corresponding tools and methods

·Assists the workshop in solving process issues and contributes to the improvement of the indicators of the workshop and its downstream partners (non-conform generation, customer complaints, etc...)

· Analyzes and challenges the local Quality standards including operating limits in collaboration with the central Michelin technical team

· Serves as the local correspondent for new tools and methods when exchanging progress topics within a related scope and/or area of expertise

·Contributes to inter-plant and internal partner exchanges as a technical reference in areas such as benchmarking

·Transmits knowledge and know-how: ensures the increase of technical skills and competencies for the factory community (tutoring, supervising practical internship, etc…)

·Participates in the local Quality planning, including feasibility and capability studies allowing the plant to commit to its production responsibilities

·Participates in process start-ups and process evolutions with respect to Quality and level of service agreed.

·Contributes to the progress plan of the activity (productivity, Quality, safety…) through validation of process, recipe changes and bottleneck analysis

·Supports the design, testing, and implementation of process machinery improvements through applied analysis

·Establishes the adapted quality obtention standard to the local context: definition of the production consigns / operating limits, the process parameter rules and the Quality plan

·Leads projects and interdepartmental teams to resolve Quality issues

·Analyzes process performance and Quality results followed by developing and proposing plans to improve the overall capability

·Defines and implements local Quality assurance methods (FMEA, process control, testing, statistical, verification, control…)

·Participates in local risk analyses (PHA, FMEA, …) to support the Quality plan

·Supports digitalization and innovative methods to improve performance of the plant

Requirements:

·       B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Process role

·       Experience in manufacturing environment

·       Comfortable Presenting Technical Information

·       Strong Leadership and Teamwork Skills

·       Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment

·       Knowledge of quality systems and quality control is a plus

·       Manages Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
