POSITION OBJECTIVES:

The Communications Lead for Global HR is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of people-related communications that will inform and engage employees around the world.

The primary focus will be internal communications support for key HR strategic initiatives and programs to support Takeda’s commitment to creating an exceptional people experience.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to external communications efforts to attract new, talented people to Takeda.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Partner with Global HR Communications Head to support the success of HR projects, programs and initiatives by developing and deploying engaging communications strategies and tactics. This includes leading internal communications for key learning and career development programs; diversity, equity and inclusion efforts; and rewards and benefits offerings.
Plan, edit and write/produce content for a variety of internal communication mediums, including internal editorial channels (written and video), internal social media, virtual live events, newsletters and digital screens.
Act in an advisory role, providing communications counsel to colleagues related to their programs and events.
Facilitate meeting and event logistics, including hosting global town halls.
Review existing communications channels and devise creative/interactive ways to engage and inspire employees.
Develop and implement communication processes and learning opportunities to grow the communications capabilities of HR colleagues.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism or related major.
5+ years of professional communications experience.
HR communications experience at a large global company is preferred.
Excellent writing skills - able to distill complex, technical and lengthy topics into simple, compelling communications.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with cross-functional teams and confidence to work with senior executives.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control, including proofreading experience.
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

TRAVEL and Additional REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips
Domestic and international travel may be required, estimated 10%
