Manager of 3PL Transportation - Compton, CA
Job Summary:

Our Manager of 3PL Transportation role is a critical position with East coast and West coast exposure. The role is responsible for all Transportation Financial Budgets, Operational, and Service Standards across multiple MarMaxx 3PL buildings (~9 buildings). Working with 3PL and coordinator(s) plans, executes and manages cross dock deliveries, balancing financials while providing the fastest level of movement on key processed goods. This position will have direct impact on our TJMaxx and Marshall stores.
Major Areas of Responsibility
* Drives transportation operations for processed goods shipped out of MMX 3PL processing buildings, including transportation optimization, carrier management and attainment of KPI standards
* Drives Peak Season plans / strategies and execution to support the challenging needs of the business, including contingency plans given 3PL function as a release valve for the network
* Oversees 3PL transportation partner obligations are met and SOPs / best practices are executed at standard or better
* Consistently delivers operational performance against established KPIs and budget, performs rooting-cause analysis as needed and creates necessary action plans in order to manage performance
* Interacts with Field Leadership, Regional/Chain DC Leadership, Loss Prevention, 3PL Operators and transportation providers to ensure overall execution of service/standards maximizes TJX profitability
* Identifies and leads implementation of optimization and process improvement initiatives, driving service enhancement and cost savings
* Manages, coaches, and mentors direct reports and develops them for future growth within the function and organization
Minimum Requirements to be successful:
* Bachelor degree preferred or related job experience
* 7-10 years of experience in an operations / transportation role, with 4+ years of leadership experience
* Operational acumen
