What youll do

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an Attorney, Commercial Contracts, to become part of a fast paced legal team that handles varied commercial contracts, supporting a wide variety of business functions, including IT, marketing, logistics, finance, human resources and e-commerce.

Job Responsibilities:

* Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts for TJX and provide advice on contractual matters to TJXs internal business clients
* Closely collaborate with internal clients and cross-functional teams to identify, address and communicate risks and to understand relevant business objectives
* Streamline and drive efficiency in contract review and completion by crafting and maintaining form agreements and other processes, as appropriate
* Support special projects as requested

Required Skills and Experience:

* JD and at least 2 years of experience with a law firm or in-house legal department
* Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, or eligible for Massachusetts In-House Counsel Registration
* Comfort balancing multiple matters simultaneously and efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
* Ability to drive work independently in identifying multi-disciplinary legal issues
* Ability to optimally negotiate with third parties
* Excellent drafting and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect and develop positive relationships with a variety of clients
* Strong attention to detail and follow-up
