As the Specialist, Carrier Procurement for LTL, you will source and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. What youll do on a typical day:

* Respond quickly and accurately to Sales requests; communicate shipment challenges from dispatch to delivery
* Work with Freight Audit and Bill Pay to assist in resolving discrepancies and offer solutions to avoid future issues
* Train Sales team about Less-than-Truckload (LTL) Brokerage and how to quote and manage shipments appropriately, as well as the various platforms they will use (Freight Optimizer, ONECRM, Connect, Banyan, Class IT)
* Follow established procedures and protocols regarding ONECRM requests
* Accurately maintain and update boards within Freight Optimizer to show correct status and information such as tracking, appointment delays, weather issues, billing discrepancies, etc.
* Ensure that initial paperwork given to driver states the correct third-party information; ensure the paperwork gets to shipper upon dispatch

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, youll need:

* 1 year of related experience

Itd be great if you also have:

* Bachelors degree
* 1 year of transportation experience
* 2 years of sales or customer service experience
* Ability to exercise judgment and discretion; able to function independently within authorized limits
