Veritiv Logistics Solutions (VLS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing Business Segment of Veritiv, a Fortune 500 distribution company with more than 140 locations across North America. VLS is a Logistics Solutions Provider that leverages the assets, resources and technology of Veritiv to offer third party warehousing, transportation, and managed freight services.

The Transportation Solutions Representative (TSR) is the primary entry-level Supply Chain role within Veritiv. The job is designed to transition from Carrier Management into Transportation Account Management within VLS. The purpose of Carrier Management is to efficiently manage third party shipments along with the carriers that are selected in order to help obtain the lowest cost and highest performance. The purpose of Account Management is to partner with 3PL customers and Veritiv vendors to build a relationship and help them manage their transportation needs.

Job Responsibilities:

* Day to day interaction with VLS customers/carriers that are assigned to each TSR

* Responsible for the sourcing of truckload and other third party carriers

* Accountable for meeting monthly objectives

* Seamlessly manage the load tendering process for brokerage freight transactions.

* Communicates effectively with carriers, Veritiv customers, and Account Management team members

* Supply truckload quotes for all internal and external customers

* Create and schedule customer shipments in Transportation Management System (TMS)

* Identify opportunities for growth in carrier base and with existing customers

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:

* Bachelors Degree; preferably in logistics supply chain or related

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Highly motivated with a competitive attitude

* Effective analytical and problem solving skills

* Excellent written/verbal communication skills

* Strong computer skills
