Description:
Reporting to the Service Line Development Program Manager and according to established policies and procedures, assists in preparation for compliance audits with regulatory agencies. Contributes in the recommendation, development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of compliance and clinical Process Improvement and Quality initiatives. Contributes in the recommendation, development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of new or existing policies, procedures, practices and standards. Participates on committees and within work groups that review and suggest recommendations for improvement based on audit findings and /or internal compliance issues. Works with Clinical Improvement Specialists (Quality & Compliance Representatives) and other data personnel to obtain and aggregate data, and to populate time sensitive PI report measures for Service Line areas of responsibility. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with physicians, their practice staff, and other personnel (internal/external) to help expedite patients for surgery. Builds and utilizes hospital relationships to effectively and efficiently navigate patients through difficult scheduling, surgical boarding, billing, and/or other related issues pertaining to the surgical experience. Assists in resolving issues (initial, ongoing and complex), involving surgical and/or non-surgical concerns related to Service Line areas of responsibility between facility, physician practices and weight-loss clinics or other entities related to a particular Service Line involved with patients or processes. Assembles surgical patient collaborative charts for 30-day post-op review and populates program database. Helps to assess the data development and collection needs of the assigned Service Line Program / Department. Assists, supports, schedules and coordinates required in-services for service line staff with necessary presenters/providers. Represents service line at community events and participates in patient outreach and growth opportunities. May provide patient demographic reports and provider profiles. Functions as an active member of the Customer Service Team, supporting Service Line Development Program Manager in responding to sensitive customer service issues for quick resolution. Works with personnel in other functions / services / departments on various projects or issues as directed.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

2. Two years of experience related to the integrating of data, preferably clinical in nature, from disparate sources, including the utilization of specialty databases (i.e.- Exemplo MD, BOLD, etc.) for the purpose of data management (entry and extraction) or statistical analysis, and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power-point, Access).

3. Experience in surgical boarding and insurance verification processes strongly preferred.
