Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training or certification to support Equity Analyst in preparing industry and company research by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, writing investment-related research reports, and creating/maintaining financial models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops familiarity with industry and related companies in order to assess the relevance of news and other data.
Gathers data about assigned industries and companies.
Performs quantitative analysis of macroeconomic variables that impact the industry.
Maintains computer databases covering industry and related companies.
Prepares written industry and company specific reports.
Develops financial models for revenue and income forecasts, cash flow analysis, balance sheet, and quarterly projections.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Companys working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.
Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of Equity Research.
Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.
Financial markets and products.
Skill in:
Identifying relationships, draw logical conclusions, and interpret results.
Quantitative and analytical analysis sufficient to assist in the development of corporate financial projections and equity valuation metrics.
Using technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers commitment to ideas, services, or products.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.
Ability to:
Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with critical deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all organizational levels.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in related field and a minimum of two (2) years experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
FINRA Series 86/87 licenses or the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
