Global Compliance & Customer Verification Platform builds and maintains leading state of the art platform that caters to Anti Money Laundering & Tax related regulatory requirements that PayPal has to comply with in most of the 200+ countries that we operate. Our goal is to build next gen RegTech platform that seamlessly works across multiple geographies delivering KYC & Tax solutions to both PayPals direct customers and our adjacencies. Tech leads in our organization will collaborate with product owners/architects in problem & solution discovery as well as manage the end-to-end development of complex features that will make PayPal compliant without sacrificing the customer experience. He or she needs to have a good understanding of product and customer expectations to be able to debate tradeoffs between the customer commitments and managing technical debt. Responsibilities Design elegant, scalable solutions and maintain documentation. Collaborate closely with other teams to solve complex problems. Guide and mentor other developers in the team. Develop code sufficiently supported by high quality tests Review code written by others and provide constructive feedback. Deploy and maintain code using PayPals Devops pipeline Participate in triaging and mitigating production issues Participate in scrum meetings and provide leadership in improving the execution rhythms.

Requirements

* Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science related technical discipline.
* 8-12 years hands-on in the following areas:
* Java, OO-based design and development.
* Design and implementation of microservices
* Architecture principles for SOA, Event Driven and Large Scale Systems
* Strong skills in Server Side Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate, REST, Maven, Github and other open source Java Libraries.
* Good grasp of Data structures & Algorithm concepts.
* Database design, programming, tuning and query optimization.
* Test methodologies and testing tools, e.g., TestNG, JUnit.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
* Experience in software configuration management and streaming strategies for large parallel development teams.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams across time zones is essential.
* Strong verbal and writing skills; ability to thoroughly understand product specifications, and ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
* Understanding of processes and standards from compliance standpoint.
* Project planning ability, experience in managing small development teams.
* Knowledge of QA automation processes and tools preferred.
