HarperCollins Christian Publishing seeks an experienced Video Editor to perform post-production and video editing of media projects including curriculum, promotional video segments, and marketing pieces. Editing short and long form video programs based on our books and other author content. Video graphics creation, formatting, and output of programs/projects for web distribution. Archiving/data management. Coordinate and manage projects working with a variety of people from various departments.
This position will be based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Responsibilities
The Video Editor must have the ability to carry a post-production project from beginning to end. Also, able to manage curriculum projects creating multi-session programs. Given the size and length of these programs the editor must possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. And must be able to work with various departmental managers to advise/consult on creating effective marketing pieces in the edit suite.

Qualifications
Knowledge: Adobe Premier Editing software, After Effects proficiency required.
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of video editing experience required. 3+ years preferred.
Education: College level course work is strongly preferred. Any technical training or course work, formal or informal, related to video editing will also be considered.
Industry Knowledge: General technical knowledge of the film and video industry and the workflow process. Must maintain a current and forward-thinking interest in post-production techniques, hardware, and software.
Skills:
* Solid competence and experience in video post-production.
* Thorough working knowledge of the Adobe Premier Editing software and workflow operating in the Mac OS.
* Must have a good working knowledge of After Effects.
* Graphic design ability and experience with Adobe Photoshop for graphic creation.
* A good eye for detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects at one time.
* Additional preferred skills include DVD Studio Pro, Media Encoder, and knowledge of output formatting for various forms of web-delivery.
* Basic still photography and videography skills are an asset but not required.
