THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN HENDERSOVILLE, TN AT THE CORPORATE OFFICE.

Xtend Healthcare is looking for IT Help Desk Technician. This position will perform a variety of skilled technical work in the installation, removal, maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair of personal computer equipment, peripheral equipment, thin clients, computer operating systems, and computer software. Duties are performed in a highly customer orientated organization, where the exercise of excellent customer service and team work are paramount. Duties include operating, monitoring, and servicing multiple communications and data processing devices involving both voice and data networks. The Help Desk Technician also diagnoses and tests voice and network infrastructure and exercises considerable initiative and judgment in planning and organizing work, carrying out the work process and modifying plans to meet unexpected situations.

JOB SUMMARY:

1. Fields phone calls, email questions, and electronically inputted trouble tickets from users seeking assistance with computers, thin clients, network/file permissions, network user IDs, and computer peripheral devices. Escalate issues to appropriate individuals or teams within the Information Technology department for resolution where appropriate.

2. Assist with and maintain the development of user documentation for software developed in-house, as well as, documentation concerning the application of commercial software to Xtend processes, systems, infrastructure, telephony, inventory, cabling, and various other key assets.

3. Installation/rollout and removal of computers, thin clients, and computer programs.

4. Create procedures and training documents to aid company's user community and proactively resolve issues that would otherwise result in the reporting of an electronic trouble ticket.

5. Specialized project work focused on (but not limited to) the implementation of new technologies, functionality, software, utilities, or processes.

6. Participate in regularly schedule off-hours maintenances, which can include (but are not limited to) the following activities.

* Hardware rollouts of thin clients.
* Hardware rollouts of desktop/Laptop clients.
* Storage room inventory or clean-up involving equipment in excess of 25 pounds.
* Software rollouts.
* Operating system patches for workstations, and other critical systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma
* Some college experience in computer or related field (additional equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute for the required level of education)
* 1 or more years experience with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional. (additional equivalent education above the required minimum may substitute for the required level of experience)
* 1 or more years experience with PC hardware troubleshooting or fault identification.
* 1 or more years experience with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Outlook.
* 1 or more years experience with voice and data communication cabling and equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1 or more years experience with Microsoft Active Directory basic administration.
* 1 or more years experience with Microsoft Exchange basic administration.
* CompTIA A+ Certification
* CompTIA N+ Certification
* MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification in Windows XP
* Experience with terminal emulation software
* Experience with thin clients.
* Experience with Citrix client connectivity.
* Experience with Remote Desktop Client.
* Must be able to work in a team environment
* Able to effectively manage time and multiple projects to meet deadlines
* Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Written and oral communication skills to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
* Excellent customer service skills
* Possession of a valid drivers license
