Position Overview
Navistar is seeking an exceptionally talented and results-oriented professional for the position of Staff Accountant. This individual will provide accounting support to the Navistar Business Center team.
Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
* Provide accounting support to Navistar personnel and business partners.
* Maintain general ledgers, review accounting activities, and prepare the monthly and quarterly financial reports.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Performs day-to-day general accounting activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, to ensure compliance with established accounting policies, practices and procedures
* Compiles and analyzes operating performance reports.
* Research and resolve unusual items on financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
* Assist in preparing federal, state and local tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* At least 1 year of accounting experience
OR
* Bachelor's degree and CPA
* At least 1 year of accounting experience
OR
* Master's degree in Accounting
OR
* Master's degree and CPA
Additional Requirements
* Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
